The claim behind natural vision improvement is essentially that you can improve your eyesight using eye exercises. There is, however, quite a debate as to whether eye exercise really do improve your vision.

If you search online for information regarding the legitimacy of eye exercises, you’ll find many websites downplaying their effectiveness – that they don’t work, that it’s just a scam, etc… But you’ll also find websites (other than the websites that sell the eye exercises programs) which highlight the effectiveness of eye exercises.

So, Do Eye Exercises Really Work?

Let's answer that question in 3 ways:

  1. Support from numerous recognized organizations, institutions, associations, etc.
  2. Successful results from many medical studies
  3. Testimonials from thousands of people that have used eye exercises to improve their eyesight

Support from Numerous Organizations, Institutions, Associations, etc

There are many, many well-established medical organizations that support natural vision therapy. These include the American Optometric Association, the Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences, the U.S. Public Health Service, the National Center for Health Statistics, the Optometric Extension Program Foundation and the Association of Academic Health Center.

For example, the American Optometric Association “affirms its longstanding position that vision therapy is an effective therapeutic modality in the treatment of physiological dysfunctions of the vision system.” – American Optometric Association, 1985.

Successful Results From Many Medical Studies

This is where it gets interesting. We’ve done an extensive search online for medical studies related to eye exercises. We were quite surprise of what we found… there are actually quite a number of studies that have been performed related to vision therapy, the results of which are published in recognized medical journals… AND many of these findings indicate that eye exercises are effective.

For example, a Study was done on 96 patients by Dr. Irwin B. Suchoof and G. Timothy Petito, the results of which were published in the Journal of the American Optometric Association and concluded “Symptoms were totally eliminated in 53% of the patients, reduced in 435 and remained the same in only 4%. Therefore… an overall success rate of 96%… there is an impressive and increasing body of evidence attesting to the trainability of accommodated function“.
